Patrick Labyorteaux began his show-business career at the age of 3 in a local stage play in Hollywood. He went on to appear in such films as "Mame" (as the grandnephew of Lucille Ball's character), "Opening Night," "Heathers," "Summer School," "Ski School" and "3 Ninjas."
On television, Labyorteaux was a regular in the series "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Last Frontier." He also appeared in "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "Too Something," "Hope and Gloria" and "Living Single.""
Labyorteaux has a strong background in comedy, having written for and performed with the Groundlings comedy troupe and written the screenplay for "National Lampoon's Last Resort." He also wrote an award-winning episode of JAG. In 1992, he and his brother, actor Matthew Labyorteaux, with whom he founded the Youth Rescue Fund, a charity dedicated to helping runaways, appeared before a House subcommittee to plead the case of runaways and raised $11 million for youth shelters across America. He had a co-starring role in the pilot episode of JAG, and series creator and executive producer, Donald Bellisario, liked the comic relief his character provided so much that he decided to bring him back as a series regular. Labyorteaux lives in Los Angeles with his wife and one-year-old son. His birth date is July 22. |
