Born on October 25th 1963, Harmon Rabb Jr. Son of Harmon Rabb Sr and Patrica Rabb. Rabb's father was a Naval aviator who later became an MIA (Missing In Action) in Vietnam.
When Harm was only 16 he went to Vietnam to look for his missing father, unfortunatly he did not find him and continued to search for him through his life. While in Vietnam he fell in love with a vietnamese girl, called Jim who was killed. However, like Harmon Rabb sr. he joined the United States Navy, attenting the Naval Academy to then become a "Top Gun" naval aviator. Harm eventually found his long lost father in Russia, where he'd escaped and later died whilst living with a Russian family.
Before becoming a Naval legal eagle Harm had previously served aboard the USS Seahawk before crashing his F-14 Tomcat during a night carrier landing due to his night blindness. His RIO did not survive the crash and Harm lost his 'wings'. After obtaining a law degree Harm transferred to the Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG) where he has proved to be just as good a lawyer as a fighter pilot.
While on a mission on the USS Seahawk, Rabb was called on to use his skills as a pilot to land a Tomcat at night when the legendary CAG (Captain Boone) was injured during a mission (see Pilot episode). Landing the Tomcat and saving the life of the CAG, Harm re-gained his wings and his status as a pilot & occasionally took to the air during his JAG investigations. For this heroic act he received the Distinguished Flying Cross from the President.
Recently, his passion for being a naval aviator took him back to the seas and back into the sky. Temporarily leaving JAG to be a pilot once again. He is now back at JAG resuming his career as a JAG officer.
Harm has had three JAG partners Lt Caitlin Pike (pilot episode) Lt j.g. Meg Austin (Season One) and his current partner (Season Two onwards) Marine Major Sarah MacKenzie. In his spare time Harm flys his vintage Navy aircraft, Sarah (named after his Grandmother, with whom he spent time with after his crash.) He also enjoys sailing, cooking, and playing his guitar.
